How We Calculate Fees
Our fee structure is designed to fit the specific scope and complexity of your project. We focus on offering transparent, fixed fees for most of our projects. This means you’ll know the cost upfront, providing peace of mind as we move through the design process. For projects with more fluid requirements, we may sometimes use a percentage-based approach, ensuring flexibility as the project evolves.
Fixed Fees
This is our most common method. Once the concept design is confirmed, we establish a fixed fee based on project size, location, complexity, and design features. This ensures you have certainty around your costs from the outset.
Percentage-Based Fees
For projects where the scope isn’t fully defined at the start, we may charge a percentage of the total construction cost. For example, if your new home has a budget of $1,000,000+GST, a 4% fee would result in $40,000+GST. This allows flexibility during the early stages.
Services Included
Our fees cover all essential aspects of the architectural design process, including initial concept sketches, site visits, CAD drawings, and submission of consent documents. Each project is different, so we work closely with you to determine the level of service you need.
Additional Costs
It’s important to note that our fees don’t include council consent fees, geotechnical reports, or structural engineering costs. These expenses vary based on the project and will be estimated through our trusted consultants. Construction monitoring fees are also separate and can be quoted as needed.
